One Sick Mama
I spent the first day of 2012 throwing up in my in-law's toilet. It wasn't the result of drinking and partying; I was just plain ol' sick. I couldn't keep anything down so my medicine wouldn't stay down, which also meant I didn't have any calories to burn for nursing.
I wanted to quarantine myself from Joanna since I couldn't nurse and give her my antibodies. Jon's dad brought up a good point that if she were going to get sick, she would have been sick by now. We hung out for a bit between naps and more barfing. After 24 hours, I was able to successfully digest crackers - yay! I'm now back to 90% and we are back home.
Now that we're home, I'm going to re-start my nursing regimen (with the Mother's Milk Tea and supplements) and she's going to sleep in her crib for the first time this week. Woo hoo!
